DESCRIPTION:This seven-week course will provide students with an introduction to American Sign Language.  Students will learn elementary vocabulary signs along with grammar/word order. Basic forms of communication skills\, along with various cues used when signing will also be covered\, including directionality\, classifiers\, and the use of facial/body expressions. Lastly\, students will learn about the Deaf culture and how it developed over history.
