Enjoy summer evenings in Hancock Park in Historic Downtown Dahlonega\, while soaking in family favorites on a 23-foot screen.\n\nBefore settling down to enjoy the film at dusk\, kick off your Friday evenings at 6 p.m. with activities the kids will love\, like inflatables\, coloring\, and free giveaways. Plus\, sample from a variety of concessions featuring summer favorites such as hot dogs\, popcorn and cotton candy (concession proceeds benefit Enotah CASA and Lumpkin Youth Leadership). In an overburdened social welfare system\, abused and neglected children often slip through the cracks among hundreds of open cases. CASA volunteers change that. Appointed by judges\, CASA volunteers typically handle just one case at a time and commit to staying on that case until the child is placed in a safe\, permanent home. While others may come and go\, CASA volunteers provide that one constant that children need in order to thrive. One person can make a world of difference to a child.\n\nLumpkin Youth Leadership is a leadership project designed to enhance\, inspire\, and empower freshman and sophomore high school students to explore leadership and career opportunities within the community. The project connects students to community resources and leaders\, develops awareness of community challenges and opportunities\, as well as engages students in community projects.
