We have been on quite a roll in terms of statewide\, regional and national recognition for our infrastructure\, hospitality\, and innovative marketing. We have been recognized among some fairly high profile destination colleagues and we're consistently popping to the top of "best of" lists.\n\n \n\nIt's time to say thank you all of you in our community who have helped to make all that happen -- and we do that annually in a format we call Travel Rally Day -- as part of National Tourism Week. This year Travel Rally Day will take place tomorrow\, Tuesday\, May 9\, with balloons\, and lemonade\, and wearing red\, and with delivery of some appropriate inspirational words from local and statewide officials. We would like you to join us at this event\, at 11 am on the 9th on the Visitors Center Plaza. \n\n\n\nWe would like to ask downtown merchants and visitors to join us -- taking a few moments out of their busy day -- to help celebrate our community's success.\n\n\n\nAs members of the Chamber & Visitors Bureau\, we thank you personally for your contributions to tourism efforts that have been successful in raising awareness of Dahlonega and Lumpkin County as one of Georgia's premier destinations for travel and enjoyment of great places to shop\, stay\, dine\, find gold and enjoy wine. \n\n \n\nThank you for all you do!
