Outrun Hunger 2026

5k Fun Run/Walk to support the Dawson Community Food Bank & Thrift.  

The Dawson Community Food Bank & Thrift, located at 92 Chestatee Industrial Park Drive in Dahlonega, is conducting a 5k Fun Run/Walk called Outrun Hunger on October 24th.  Registration will begin at 8AM and the event will start at 9AM.  This food bank is the largest in the Georgia Mountain Food Bank network and supports over 3,000 families per month.  900 of which are from Lumpkin County.  It is a 501c3 charity and relies on donations to support it's mission.  Participants can sign up at
