2015 Gold Rush Concert featuring Radford Windham & Step Back Cadillac and Ugly Cousin
The Dahlonega Jaycees proudly invite you to the 2015
Gold Rush Concert, presented in partnership with RefrigiWear, Inc.
Bring your friends and family and join us at the Gold Rush Days Festival Main Stage after the parade to enjoy awesome live music from two of our favorite local bands, Radford Windham & Step Back Cadillac and Ugly Cousin. Set up your camping chairs or kick up your dancing shoes, because the concert will continue after the festival booths have closed. About the bands:
Radford Windham and Step Back Cadillac is comprised of lead singer/songwriter Radford Windham, Lauren Stephenson on bass & back up vocals, Matt Stephenson on electric guitar & mandolin, Bob Christmas on fiddle, and Doug Schiff on drums. They play mostly southern rock, country and accoustic folk. Music has been a part of Radford's life since he was a little boy. When he was in high school, he played in a band with Zac Brown and opened for acts such as Shawn Mullins and The Jay Drummonds Band. In 2012, Radford decided to invest, again, into his musical dreams. He began writing and playing more and formed the band Step Back Cadillac. Radford now plays mostly solo shows, so it is a treat to have them all back together on the Gold Rush Days Festival Main Stage.

Ugly Cousin is comprised of Erick Jones, Adam Rambin, Patrick Chisolm, Roman Gaddis and Derrick Gaddis. These band members are all natives of Dahlonega – ‘Nuggets’ as locals often coin themselves - who all grew up around a variety of music. However, there is a clear and ‘golden’ thread of traditional music woven throughout their repertoire. Both age old favorites and well honed originals incorporate a half dozen genres of music, with the very relevant subject matter of much of their original music reflecting on small town life and the trials of living in the ‘new depression.’ Ugly Cousin isn't just a name for this talented quintet, they are family, with most members related one way or another. The collection of these individuals, which is three generations in the making, forms a dynamic and energetic ensemble producing driving rhythms and piercing lyrics. Ugly Cousin is a lively and crowd pleasing show that is not to be missed. They also just recorded their first album, Lil' Bear. (Rumor has it that you may just be able to purchase your very own copy at the Gold Rush Concert, along with other Ugly Cousin merchandise.)
