2018 CTAUN Conference at UNG
We would like to invite you, your colleagues, organizations, and friends to attend the 2018 CTAUN Conference at UNG on Saturday, February 24, 2018.
- The Committee on Teaching About the United Nations (CTAUN) focuses on today's most important assignment – teaching our children about a world made increasingly interdependent by globalization. CTAUN exists to provide opportunities for educators to learn, understand and appreciate the work of the U.N., and to incorporate global awareness into curricula and school activities at all levels (http://www.ctaun.org/).
This year's conference theme, Empowering Educators: Taking Action Locally and Globally, focuses on the role and impact of classroom teachers on students in the local and global community.
This event – in partnership with the U.N.’s CTAUN and GSU’s College of Education & Human Development – is an opportunity for educators and other interested in education to engage with questions of access, equity, poverty, and quality education; share innovative classroom practices; connect to Georgia standards; and inform school improvement plans.
- Educators will receive one professional learning unit for attending
- The conference will be on the UNG-Dahlonega campus – Saturday, February 24
- Conference fee is $35, $20 for students and educators (includes continental breakfast and lunch)
We hope you, your colleagues, organization, and friends will attend the 2018 CTAUN Conference at UNG on February 24th!
