Nuts & Bolts Workshop - November 6, 2014 - Build Your Marketing Toolbox Session 2
The Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber & Tourism Bureau has teamed up with Constant Contact and Ghost Partner to offer a series of six (6) workshops. These workshops are designed to help small businesses understand and execute modern internet marketing methods. Those methods include Email, Social Media and Web (search marketing). As you can read in the next few pages, these sessions build on one another to deliver a complete how-to guide. You do not have to attend each session; however, this is ideal for businesses that want to grow their audience as well as their revenue.
There will be a $20 fee for each workshop. This fee will include a light lunch. Fees must be paid by the Monday before each session. You may submit your payment on line or at the Chamber office.
The workshops will be held at the Chamber’s Conference Room. Check in for each session is 11:15 am and the session will begin promptly at 11:30 am. Each workshop is scheduled to end no later than 1:00 pm. An evite will be sent through ChamberMaster and we ask that you please register online. “Email and Social Engagement Campaigns That Drive Action “
Simple strategies to make your email and social marketing more effective
At the heart of small business marketing are the campaigns that drive action – collections of marketing activities that help a small business or organization to achieve its goals and objectives. Newsletters and Announcements have become a core component of those campaign choices. Email is more important than ever – to the communication efforts of businesses and nonprofits everywhere; and to the customer, donor, client or supporter of those organizations. This session will reveal some simple but effective best practices and considerations for the small business or nonprofit seeking to make their email newsletters more effective.
Attendees of this presentation will learn:
• The different types of newsletters
• What to write about in your newsletter or announcement and how to consider using images
• Subject line best practices, and when to send your newsletter
• The importance of understanding how connected email and social media are…they have to be done together.
• What types of additional tools might be useful
Join us and learn some great new strategies to help your email and social media efforts be more effective components of one of the core campaign types, newsletters and announcements.
