UNG Peaks - " Twice Upon A Time: Rethinking Our Well-Rehearsed Stories
PEAKS - Personal Enrichment, Action and Knowledge Series. Collaborative program with the UNG Institute for Healthy Aging, Center for Appalachian Studies, and UNG Blue Ridge Campus.
UNG's Institute for Healthy Aging, College of Education's Appalachian Studies Center and the Blue Ridge Campus created PEAKS, which is a monthly program of engaging and seasonally connected presentations designed to meet the needs of the region's rapidly growing older adult community.
The Rev. Cynthia Park, LPC, PhD is the second guest speaker in this series. We can continue to strengthen the health of our brains by recovering formational stories embedded in our memories, and reconsidering them from our present
perspective. This powerful work is not magical, but miraculous in its ability to create new neural pathways that will expand our capacity to think in every area. But, more importantly, by reconsidering the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and where we have come from, we can set a whole new stage for life?s third age? forgiving and forgiven.
This event is virtual. Register at PEAKS@ung.edu.
