Wednesday Lenten Worship: "Let Us Go Up to Jerusalem with Jesus"
Beginning Ash Wednesday, February 10 and continuing each Wednesday through March 16, St. Peter Lutheran Church is holding a series of Lenten services, "Let Us Go Up to Jerusalem with Jesus." Each week the Rev.Dr. Gerhard C. Michael, Jr., pastor at St. Peter, will draw on a different section of Luke's travel narrative to deliver a "Lesson to Bless Us." The services begin at 7:00 P.M. They are preceded by a light supper at 6:00 P.M. The congregation invites the public to make the Lenten journey with them. The weekly themes are as follows:
February 10 Luke 10:13-28 "Eyes that are Blessed"
February 17 Luke 11:14-28 "The Word Worthy Hearing and Heeding"
February 24 Luke 12:1-12 "The Right Kind of Fear"
March 2 Luke 12:35-48 "In the Master's Absence, Stay Awake and Do Your Job!"
March 9 Luke 14:12-24 "An Invitation Too Urgent to Refuse"
March 16 Luke 19:11-27 "An Assignment for the Interim"
