Authors in the Afternoon at the Library!
In partnership with the Friends of Lumpkin County Library, the library will be hosting the next in the series, “Authors in the Afternoon.” This is a free series of presentations by local authors who will be on hand at the library to talk about their current works. Each author will give a presentation followed by a Q & A session. Books may also be signed and/or purchased from the authors as well. Please join us Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.
Mr. Larry Freeland will be our guest for the October event and will be talking about his book, "Chariots in the Sky: A Story About U.S. Assault Helicopter Pilots At War in Vietnam." His presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by a Q & A session, and the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of his book. Light refreshments will be served. Following the author presentation, the public is invited to attend the October meeting of the Friends of Lumpkin County Library, to be held at 4:30 p.m. This would be a great time to find out more about all the great things that the Friends of the Library does to support YOUR library.
