About Us

The North Georgia Chamber Symphony, Inc. is a non-profit organization, based in Dahlonega. . Membership is open to string players in the area, by audition. We perform concerts in the spring and fall,, supplementing our group with professional musicians from all over the southeast. We perform regularly in Blairsville, Dahlonega, Gainesville and other locations.

You’ll delight in our opener, Holst’s St. Paul’s Suite, which weaves Greensleeves into its Jigs. And we will have little carolers with us (members of the Chattahoochee Elementary Champion Chorus, directed by Rebecca Gerstenlauer) who will sing a traditional Puerto Rican carol, and S’vivon, a rousing Hanukkah selection. They will lead you in singing the Christmas carols from Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival, which includes all our favorites. We will also play several popular Christmas songs that you know and love, finishing with Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride!
